About our FNP program
Indiana University Kokomo offers a live, face-to-face Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) education program, proudly based in Kokomo, Indiana. Our rigorous Master of Science in Nursing program is designed to create highly capable FNPs ready to serve the community. Classes convene each Thursday, fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Students are required to complete 750 clinical hours and 48 credit hours of coursework to graduate, ensuring a comprehensive and practical education.

Our mission and commitment
At IUK FNP Preceptors, we are dedicated to supporting our students' success throughout this challenging program. Indiana University Kokomo actively assists with clinical placements, understanding the vital role preceptors play in shaping future healthcare leaders. Our primary goal is to help close the healthcare provider gap in Indiana, thereby contributing to the improved health and well-being of all Hoosiers. We believe in making our students successful as they embark on this fulfilling career path.

An in-person learning experience
It is important for potential preceptors to know that our FNP program is an in-person, face-to-face program. We are not a distance-based education model. This commitment to direct interaction ensures our students receive hands-on guidance, immediate feedback, and the comprehensive practical experience necessary to excel as Family Nurse Practitioners. This approach allows for deeper connections between students, faculty, and preceptors, enriching the overall educational journey.
