At IUK FNP Preceptors, we are committed to providing comprehensive support and resources for healthcare professionals who dedicate their time to precepting FNP students. Our goal is to foster an enriching educational experience that benefits both preceptors and students.

FNP program information
IUK's FNP program is the only in person, face to face program in central Indiana, and in the IU system. The program is 48 credit hours/750 clinical hours, and is accredited by ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) through 2027. New cohorts are admitted each August, and the application cycle is open from September 15-June 1 each year.

The FNP Class of 2026 (pictured above) all passed their FNP certification exam, preserving our longstanding pass rate of 100%! Congratulations to these new FNPs!!
FAQ for preceptors
Your students for Fall, 2026 are in their 3rd clinical, and have mastered assessment now. They are becoming proficient in clinical flow skills such as patient presentation, differential dignoses development, and treatment plan development. They will each provide you with a clinical bio and three goals they hope to work on with you this semester. Your point of contact is a clinical faculty member who will be in touch with you the week of August 24th. Please reach out to the Graduate Program Director, Dr. Dea Kent (dkent@iu.edu) for any questions or concerns.
