Our mission and inspiration
Our goal is to give the best precepting resources possible to those who choose to give back to the profession and to our students. The resources here are meant to orient new preceptors and to give ideas to seasoned preceptors. We aim to support you in delivering exceptional educational experiences.
The people behind the program
Nursing often involves doing the best with the current information at hand. Medicine often is "see one, do one, teach one". Hopefully, the information here will help to form a baseline for the best clinical experience for both the preceptor and the IUK FNP student. We are passionate about fostering growth and excellence in FNP education.
Our vision for your success
This site was created by the IUK Graduate Program Director, Dr. Dea Kent, with the goal of giving the same information to any and all IUK FNP preceptors. We hope that after visiting this page and our website, preceptors feel well-supported, informed, and connected to the Indiana University Kokomo FNP program.
